On the evening of January 21, 2022, the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2022 Ceremony organized by the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association(AMBA&BGA) came to a successful conclusion. The School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology was nominated for "Best Lifelong Learning Initiative Award", and Yang Yunfei, a 2020 MBA student of our school, won the Bronze Award of "MBA Student of the Year".

This is the first time for the school to apply for the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards. The International Affairs Office actively organized, carefully prepared the application materials, and submitted applications for four awards. After more than three months of strict review by the awards judegs, the school's "Lifelong Learning Ecosystem Development" Initiative was nominated "Best Lifelong Learning Initiative Award" (top 6 in the world), the MBA student Yang Yunfei was nominated for the "MBA Student of the Year Award" for his outstanding innovative and entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of social responsibility, and won the Bronze Award in the final evaluation. SOM is the only one of the 11 nominated Chinese business schools that has been shortlisted for two awards at the same time, which is a huge breakthrough for the school in winning internationally renowned award.
