EQUIS Advisor Thomas Froehlicher Visited The School of Managment

From March 25th to March 26th, Thomas Froehlicher, the EQUIS Accreditation advisor, member of the AACSB’s Initial Accreditation Committee, and former Dean of KEDGE Business School and Rennes School of Business, was invited to the School of Management to provide guidance on EQUIS accreditation. Professor Froehlicher comprehensively analyzed and assessed the accreditation process of the school and provided precise guidance on the international accreditation work of the school.


In the afternoon of March 25th, Director of the Office of International Affairs Jie Chen, Chair of the Board of the School of Management Yanhua Hu, and Dean of the School of Management Zhi Yang had a meeting with Professor Thomas Froehlicher. They first extended their heartfelt gratitude to the mentor and briefed him about the history, program advantages, internationalization, and future plans of our school. Professor Froehlicher spoke highly of the progress we have made in the overall work including talent cultivation, scientific research, and international exchanges and cooperation. Then he briefly introduced relevant information on EQUIS accreditation.

Professor Froehlicher attended the meeting with the leaders of the school and the Office of International Affairs and provided the school with important criteria and standards of EQUIS accreditation and detailed suggestions for the school based on reality. Then, he had exchanges with representatives of faculty and students to learn about their education, scientific research, and overseas experience.

On March 26th, Professor Froehlicher had an in-depth discussion with the task force and International Affairs Office about SAR, gave detailed advice for each chapter, and answered the questions from the group. After the discussion, he visited administrative offices of the school to have face-to-face exchanges with the staff to further learn about the human resources, teaching affairs, scientific research, student development, publicity, alumni, library, internationalization, programs such as MBA, EMBA, MPAcc, etc of the school. He provided valuable advice on student cultivation, scientific research, internationalization, and EQUIS accreditation.


Professor Thomas Froehlicher’s visit has further clarified the direction for the upcoming EQUIS accreditation. It has also strengthened the determination of the school to further internationalize and improve its educational standards. In the future, the school will take this opportunity to deepen reforms, enhance teaching quality, improve research standards, and boost social service capabilities, striving unremittingly to build a domestically first-class and internationally renowned business school.
