The 7th Sino-German Cultural and Academic Exchange Camp successfully held

From September 13th to 15th, the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) and the School of Social Sciences and Law of SRH Hochschule Heidelberg jointly organized the 7th Sino-German Cultural and Academic Exchange Camp. Representatives from the School of Economics, Management and Law of Hubei Normal University met on-site at HUST to participate in this event. Students and faculty from the three institutions gave academic presentations and discussions on the theme of "Intellectual Property Protection for Sino-German Economic and Trade Relations", and conducted rich cultural exchange activities.


In the afternoon of September 13th, the opening ceremony was held in classroom 232 of School of Management. Jin Lingzhi, Chairman of the School Board of the School of Management, HUST, delivered a speech on behalf of the School, and Professor Li Jianbin, Vice Dean of the School of Management, was the moderator of the opening ceremony. Jin Lingzhi extended his warm congratulations on the success of the Exchange Camp, and expressed his sincere welcome to the participation of faculty members and students from the three institutions. Jin Lingzhi pointed out that our school has a long history of exchange and cooperation with SRH Hochschule Heidelberg in Germany, and has carried out nearly 10 exchange activities since 2010. This year's camp aims to actively respond to the new situation of international cooperation and exchange, to build a platform for exchange between Chinese and German students and faculty, and to promote the process of international cooperation.

Professor Yu Xiang delivered a speech on behalf of the China-Europe Institute of Intellectual Property, HUST and Hubei Normal University. He expressed his gratitude to the students and faculty members of SRH Hochschule Heidelberg for attending this event during COVID-19 pandemic, and looked forward to the passage of the pandemic and the face-to-face communication with German students and faculty as soon as possible.

The three-day camp consisted of two lectures by professors and twelve lectures by students. On the first day of the camp, Prof. Christoph SCHÄRTL gave a lecture on the topic of "Introduction to the German and European Law System"; on the second day, Li Antai gave a lecture on the topic of "Chinese Traditional Culture, Investors' Behavior and Stock Market". During the three-day exchange camp, more than 20 students from SRH Hochschule Heidelberg, HUST, and Hubei Normal University gave wonderful academic and cultural presentations.

During the three days, students and faculty members also had cultural exchange activities such as Sino-German cooking exchange, online escape room game, German wine tasting, etc. All the participants enjoyed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere.
