Abstract: Professor Yan will focus on tips (from personal experience) for the publication process, at different stages of a research project, and during the review process. She will use examples from her own work , as well as from her experience as an associate editor and now editor. She will also discuss the review process at JSCM, such as the journal's view of “theoretical contributions” and its unique review process. This will be a largely informal discussion and a rare opportunity to discuss the publishing process at major Operations and Supply Chain Management journals.


Speaker’s Profile: Tingting Yan is the Jerry S. Rawls Endowed Professor in Supply Chains from Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. Her research interests are in areas of supplier innovation and supply network, and her research focus has been on questions of how firms can better innovate through managing their supply network, and understanding suppliers’ extended networks? Professor Yan has published in major journals on this topic, including the Journal of Operations Management, the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Decision Sciences, and the International Journal of Production Economics, among others. She is the current Co-Editor in Chief for the Journal of Supply Chain Management and is an associate editor for the Journal of Operations Management.
